LIFE OF A CASE: CPS INVESTIGATIONS

This course will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to document information in Maryland Childrens Electronic Social Services Information Exchange (MD CHESSIE)
throughout the life cycle of a CPS Investigation Case.
The course offers comprehensive coverage of topic areas to examine the core competencies as they relate to basic case management. Using real world scenario based training labs; workers will extend their knowledge of MD CHESSIE through exploring the content that should be documented at each step of the investigation process, including the purpose of record-keeping in an investigation case, and the time frames for completion of tasks within the case.
The course is designed to help the user better understand and reinforce the importance of using the official state record (MD CHESSIE) for documentation of data.
