Fastball

Description
"Harsh Light of Day" surpasses "All the Pain Money Can Buy" in sheer volume of good songs.
Fastball is the best-selling pop band to come out of Austin. But Fastball's success didn't come fast. Miles Zuniga (guitars/vocals) and Joey Shuffield (drums) played and practiced for nearly 10 years in popular bands like Big Car and Magneto. After taking a break for over a year, things fell into place when Tony Scalzo (bass/vocals) joined them in Magneto USA. The band later changed their name to Fastball, and hits like "The Way" and "Out of My Head" skyrocketed them to platinum-plus status.
A wry comment on their success, the title of the album "The Harsh Light of Day" was inspired by the feeling one gets while waiting for a morning flight the day after a late night gig. The record captivates with smart songs, promising to take everything up yet another notch.
Fans of modern pop-rock whose roots lead back to the Beatles and Elvis Costello.
