The man who brought us the "Soup Nazi," "yadda, yadda, yadda" and "sponge-worthy" revisits his stand-up roots.
Seinfeld was a comedian long before his self-titled show about nothing shot him to super-stardom. His brand of "observational humour" became popular and made him one of the most imitated comedians around. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Massapequa, Seinfeld graduated from Queens College and hit the nightclub circuit that same night. He paid the bills with a variety of odd jobs, including selling light bulbs over the phone and selling fake jewelry on the street.
He attained some fame when he appeared as a regular guest on
and
. Network and cable specials followed, and in 1990, he got his own network sitcom. With his partner Larry David, Seinfeld created a show about "nothing," devoting entire half hours to everything from waiting for a table in a Chinese restaurant to George Costanza owning a car once owned by a Jon Voight.
