WTC View

As WTC View opens, we meet Eric, a neurotic gay man trying to cope with a breakup. He decides a roommate could fill both the physical and emotional voids of his post-boyfriend NYC apartment. Eric posts an ad highlighting his stunning view of the World Trade Center. The ad runs on September 10, 2001. The next day begins a panoramic story that follows Eric reaching out to trusted friends in the wake of the 9/11 tragedy and meeting a host of characters who come to answer his ad. Through it all, Eric teeters on the edge of panic and doubt, and we are challenged right along with him to redefine "unspeakable" and "normal." Project 981 Theatre Company proudly produces the Chicago premier of WTC View at Chemically Imbalanced Theatre.
