Amsterdam Brewery

Founded in 1986, The Amsterdam Brewing Company was Toronto's first brew pub. One of Toronto’s original micro-breweries, the Amsterdam is praised for their eclectic range of beers that include traditional lagers, dark ales and fruit-infused beer. Hosted by your guide, you will partake in a "tutored tasting" of a broad selection of available Amsterdam brews.
 
Indoors there is a large bar and limited seating beside the brewing vessels. In good weather a sidewalk patio offers more elbow room and also serves pub-style food. On site is also a 7-day a week beerstore selling their brands. Servers are very friendly and despite being a bit rustic is still a good place to go for the serious beer enthusiast.
 
In 2003, Amsterdam Brewing purchased Kawartha Lakes Brewing, which produces KLB Raspberry Wheat, KLB IPA, KLB Nut Brown and KLB Cream Ale.
